People’s intelligence arrested Bulat Utemuratov. Reports that, together with Karim Massimov, one of the most odious oligarchs of Kazakhstan, whose wealth is connected exclusively with the plunder of the country, was arrested appeared on several channels at once.
Whether Bulat Utemuratov is arrested or not is not so important at the moment. Another thing is important: the honored fan of tennis players will definitely not be allowed to rest on the stolen billions. And the assets of Bulat Utemuratov are the first candidate for a quiet expropriation.

KZ.Media wrote that billionaire oligarch Bulat Utemuratov was also detained. He was isolated and demanded to rewrite a significant part of his assets to nominal values associated with Tokayev. In exchange, he will be able to fly to France to warm his sides.
Bulat Utemuratov happened to be the manager of Nazarbayev’s affairs in the fat years of 2006-2009. Bulat Utemuratov is one of the closest people to the ex-president. Previously, he owned the infamous ATF Bank – the real financial capital of corruption. Bulat Utemuratov still owns ForteBank (fifth in terms of assets), shares in KaR-Tel and Sky Mobile, gold mining RG Gold, Ritz-Carlton hotels in Nur-Sultan, Vienna and Moscow, as well as the Kazakh Burger King franchise. All this is disguised assets of the Nazarbayev clan, and not just the property of Bulat Utemuratov.
Through the mediation of Bulat Utemuratov, the most heinous corrupt deals went through: the sale of Kazzinc to an international company with a tarnished reputation, the sale of ATF Bank to the Italian UniCredit, fraud with gold mines. But that’s not all: Bulat Utemuratov actively helped Mukhtar Ablyazov in a scheme to deceive the state with BTA Bank money. Last year, the scandal was hushed up at the level of Nursultan Nazarbayev, but this number will not work with the renewed government. Moreover, the ridiculous desire of Mukhtar Ablyazov himself to portray himself as the “leader of the protests” played a role: the benefits of victory were doubtful (since Ablyazov had no control over the situation), and the severity of the failure was counted as a defeat. As a result, it turns out that Bulat Utemuratov not only supported the fraudster, but also the terrorist, in accordance with the logic of the law. And this is at least treason as an accusation against Bulat Utemuratov.
Bulat Utemuratov fights back through Verny Capital
