For some reason, it is customary to speak of Nursultan Nazarbayev’s reign as “thirty years”, although in fact he reigned over Kazakhstan for another two years, as the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan. And it was from 1989 that in the USSR they were actually allowed to conduct “business”.
As a result, from 1989 until the most recent events, any more or less large business had to reckon with and serve the interests of Nursultan Nazarbayev and his people. It is pointless to blame businessmen for cooperating with Elbasy, although the degree of this cooperation was different.
But we are talking only about businessmen! Bulat Utemuratov, in the apt expression of an American diplomat, is “a billionaire who has never had his own business.” All the business he had was serving the corrupt interests of the regime. Bulat Utemuratov is its organic part, cash reserve. His persistent attempts to portray himself as a businessman run into a simple objection: everything that he did, everything that his “Verny Capital” did, falls under certain articles of the Criminal Code, and not an amnesty. Fortunately, the significance and role of Bulat Utemuratov was no secret to anyone. That is why not so long ago there was information about the arrest of Bulat Zhamitovich, which, however, was false. We just decided to talk with Bulat Utemuratov.

Now Zhamitovich is busy whitening his press portrait. Bearing in mind the previous criticism, I decided to sing songs about my good self in “expensive” business publications. We are extremely happy if at least someone gets something good as a result of the activities of his foundation. Of the living characters, Bulat Utemuratov is the oldest and thickest wallet of the national leader. He began work on the withdrawal of stolen money together with the shadow “kingmaker” – Syzdyk Abishev, who brought Nursultan Nazarbayev to the people. To some extent, Bulat Utemuratov is Elbasy’s younger brother in corruption, and not his “son”.
