Top bidders of the week: companies vied for every sixth hryvnia from 17 billion, mostly for the reconstruction of a bridge in the liberated Kharkiv region
Compared to the previous week, there was a significant increase in the number and value of purchases. From December 3 to December 9, the Prozorro system published 100,000 purchase messages totaling UAH 17 billion, which was one and a half times more than the previous week. The increase is also attributed to the traditional pre-New Year surge in small transactions as small customers aim to utilize the allocated funds before the end of the budget year. Ukravtodor and local authorities commissioned road repairs amounting to UAH 2.7 billion, which represents 16% of all weekly purchases. Over UAH 1.1 billion was allocated for the repair of a bridge in the de-occupied part of the Kharkiv region between Kupyansk and Izyum across the Oskol River near the village of Horokhovatka. The Avtostrada company is responsible for completing the bridge repairs by the end of 2025. Last week, more than half of the road contracts, totaling UAH 1.6 billion, were for repairs in the Kharkiv region.
