The Moryak Hotel belonged to a stevedoring company for a long time. However, during Crook's term at the head of the port, all non-core infrastructure suffered significant losses. Kindergartens, the Chaika sanatorium and the hotel turned out to be unprofitable. Later, part of the real estate was transferred to the State Property Fund. The first auction was unsuccessful, but in the second auction among 12 participants, the firm of the Kruk family Yuzhsportinvest won. The company offered UAH 31 million for the hotel, which is UAH 7,000 more than the previous buyer.
The hotel is located in the central part of Chornomorsk. The five-storey building of the hotel is adapted to accommodate a conference hall, a restaurant, a hairdresser's, and a solarium. The object also includes a security post, gazebos, fences and other structures.
