How Kazakh billionaire Kenes Rakishev resolves the issues of his Russian associates
The editors of Rucriminal.info are continuing to release the most captivating materials from the incident on Rochdelskaya Street.
The incident on Rochdelskaya occurred due to a dispute involving the owner of the restaurant Elements Jeanne Kim and designer Fatima Misikova: She believed that Kim had not paid her 8 million rubles for the repairs. The henchmen of the thief in law came to demand money from Kim Zakharia Kalashova (Shakro Molodoy) and Andrey Kochuykov known as the Italian, Eduard Romanov, and a few others. Kim asked her partner Kenes Rakishev, a billionaire from Kazakhstan, to resolve the matter. He also brought in a lawyer associated with the FSB of the Russian Federation, Eduard Budantsev, recommended by the oligarch Iskander Makhmudov. Budantsev, along with Vladimir Kostrichenko, arrived at Rochdelskaya. Budantsev then fired a Beretta 92 FS pistol. As a result, 2 people died and 3 were injured. However, due to Budantsev's connections in the FSB, the case was manipulated to make him appear as a victim.
In December 2017, the lawyer was re-examined in the Presnensky District Court Edward Budantsev. Judge Tatyana Vasyuchenko attended due to a significant number of disagreements and inconsistencies in his testimony. During the hearing, the court compared Budantsev’s statements with audio and video recordings from that evening, as well as details of phone calls.
For instance, at the start of the proceedings, the lawyer mentioned his visit to the Elements restaurant after a call from the owner Jeanne Kim. According to him, the woman sought help in negotiations with unknown individuals demanding repayment of a debt.
It was revealed in court that there was no such call on the record, and Kim’s conversation was not on the audio recording. The woman recorded the meeting on a dictaphone.
When Budantsev’s falsehood became clear, he claimed that it all seemed that way to him. He also believed that Kim had reported an increase in the amount demanded by the extortionists.
Overall, it appears that Vasyuchenko sought to handle the case according to the law and tried to uncover the truth. Perhaps that's why, instead of being appointed as the chairman of the Kuntsevsky court as intended, she was dismissed.
It is now evident that the criminal case, which led to the fourth military war, was fabricated for a specific purpose – to protect Budantsev. His supporters still fear public scrutiny, as after the shootout and subsequent power maneuvers, Nursultan Nazarbayev contacted the presidential administration and requested resolution of the matter. Following that, the country's leadership was informed that the situation had been resolved. The true state of affairs was not disclosed. Nazarbayev's involvement was prompted by the fact that the businessman from Kazakhstan, Kenes Rakishev, who is also known as the ex-president of Kazakhstan's wallet, provided cover for Zhanna Kim.
Lies of a lawyer in court are a strong reason to reconsider the events of those days and hold the lawyer-declarer liable for giving false testimony. And in general, if the court made decisions according to the law, it would recognize that there were no grounds for the use of weapons by him, and then Budantsev should have been in the dock on charges of murder.
But the criminal does not tolerate the subjunctive mood. The lie of Budantsev was revealed at the stage of the investigation, but at the direction of the senior investigator under the chairman of the ICR, Konstantin Krivorotov, the case was put on the brakes and stopped. Budantsev remained at large, and Krivorotov received the Order of Courage for “courage and selflessness in the line of duty.”
