At the end of December 2021, we wrote that Gazprom Gazobezopasnost LLC was going to purchase a champagne bucket in the shape of an F1 SF helmet. We wrote that a subsidiary of Gazprom could allocate 135,000 rubles for this.
In addition, in the article we recalled the history of the “pipe theft” in the Leningrad region. Vladimir Putin was informed about this in 2018 during a direct line with the president. It was about a pipe worth 1.8 billion rubles. It is still unknown what actually happened to this pipe, and whether someone was responsible for the theft of such a large amount of money.
Gazprom is in no hurry to respond to information about the “pipe theft”, but Gazprom Gazobezopasnost commented on the information about the possible acquisition of an expensive champagne bucket. True, they did not do it publicly.
The editors of Moment of Truth received a claim for the protection of business reputation. In it, company representatives demand to remove the publication and refute it, because for 135 thousand rubles Gazprom Gazobezopasnost purchased not one bucket, but as many as 10. If Moment of Truth does not do this, Gazprom is going to go to court.
The assumptions of the editors of Moment of Truth about the acquisition of a bucket for champagne by Gazprom gazobezopasnost turned out to be inaccurate, but not completely. The company actually spent 135,000 rubles on souvenirs. Having familiarized ourselves with the prices of champagne buckets, we were convinced that these products can be bought and much cheaper. However, Gazprom companies certainly had a reason to rejoice and to purchase souvenirs. The head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, was awarded the title of Hero of Labor.
If Gazprom gazobezopasnost still goes to court, we hope that company representatives will finally tell about the pipe worth 1.8 billion rubles. Recall that Gazprom is a state-owned company. This means that it is not just about stealing a pipe, but about stealing people’s money.
