Musk says Twitter could have a new CEO by the end of the year
American billionaire and CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, said that the social network could have a new leader by the end of 2023.
It is reported by Bloomberg.
Musk believes that towards the end of 2023 there will be a “good time” to find another person to run Twitter as he expects the social media platform to be stable.
The billionaire was asked if he had found a new Twitter CEO and when he would take over.
“I think I need to stabilize the organization and just make sure it’s in a financially healthy place and that the product roadmap is clearly laid out,” Musk replied.
He also posted photos of his dog named Floki in a chair at the table, on which lies a laptop with a Twitter symbol. In the pictures, the dog is wearing a black T-shirt with the words “CEO” and a shirt with the words “CEO” and “Twitter”. The caption to one of the photos says that the new boss is well versed in numbers. Apparently, this is how the billionaire introduces the new CEO of the social network.
When Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion in late October, he took over as CEO and dissolved the company’s board of directors. Among the nine directors fired were chairman Bret Taylor and chief executive Parag Agrawal.
In December, Elon Musk conducted a poll on the social network about whether he should leave the post of CEO of the company. Most users responded that he should retire. Musk subsequently said he would step down as chief executive as soon as he found someone “stupid enough” to take the job.
