Member of the gang “Oleg Reniysky” received 9 years
The Kyivsky District Court of the city of Odessa approved an agreement on recognition of guilt and imposed a sentence of nine years in prison with confiscation of property for a previously convicted native of the Izmailsky District, Alexander Zabolotny, who was charged with banditry (Article 257 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and participation in a criminal organization (Part 1 of Art. 2 Article 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), illegal circulation of weapons/ammunition (Part 1 Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), property of victims (Part 1, 2 Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and extortion of funds (Part 4 Article 189 of the Criminal Code) Ukraine). The corresponding verdict on January 17, 2023 was decided by the servant of Themis Pavel Prokhorov.

This is an echo of the high-profile history of a group led by crime boss Oleg Popesko/Rizea, nicknamed “Oleg Reniysky”, the nuances and members of which were previously reported on the pages Detective-Info. Zabolotny, according to the version of the investigation, is considered an active participant in the corresponding organized crime group of the “owner” of the south of the Odessa region, which for many years has been a “nightmare” for local farmers and entrepreneurs.

As part of the investigation of this case, in December 2021, Alexander Sergeyevich was once again taken into custody. On January 10 of this year, Zabolotny agreed to an agreement with the prosecutor of the Malinovskaya district prosecutor’s office and admitted a number of crimes incriminated to him as part of the Oleg Reniysky gang.
Taking into account the verdict to the worthy man, previously handed down in another proceeding, the court finally determined the punishment for Alexander Zabolotny in the form of 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
