Roman Petrenko, Russian media manager and author of the concept of the Dom-2 show, is leaving the post of head of the TNT television channel, owned by the Gazprom-Media holding.
About it informs RBC, citing two sources in the media market.
According to sources, at the same time, Petrenko does not leave the holding – he was offered the position of adviser to the general director of Gazprom-Media, Alexander Zharov.
Tina Kandelaki will become the acting head of TNT, according to one of RBC’s interlocutors. Now she works as the managing director of the entire division of Gazprom-Media, which is responsible for entertainment TV channels (except for TNT, these are TV3, Friday, Saturday, TNT4 and 2×2).
The press service of Gazprom-Media declined to comment. Kandelaki did not answer questions from RBC, and Petrenko could not be contacted.
Earlier it became known that Petrenko was dissatisfied with the reduction of his powers: if earlier he was responsible for both the financial policy of the channel and the activities of the Premier online cinema, in recent months his role in the holding has been significantly reduced.
According to another source, Petrenko has already received an offer to join the team of the new Originals Production company, which was created in January 2022 by the National Media Group and the founder of Comedy Club Production Artur Dzhanibekyan. Shortly before this, Gazprom-Media allowed him, as well as other key producers of Comedy Club Production, one of the holding’s assets, to cooperate with any other players and sites on the Russian market.
