A man detained as an accused in the case of the robbery of Marina Kotashenko, the widow of singer Alexander Gradsky, spoke about his role in the crime – he was used, and until the last moment he did not know that he had become an accomplice.
On Thursday, February 10, writes KP.RU.
According to the publication, the detained 27-year-old citizen of Tajikistan, Umedjon Zhabborov, is the owner of the car in which the robbers fled. However, after the crime, Zhabborov shared with his ex-wife that he was being used: he did not know that he would become an accomplice in the crime. He could not refuse this service, as he owed a certain amount of money after buying a car. Thus, according to his ex-wife, the man was promised to write off part of the debt after this trip.
The robbery of Kotashenko took place on January 16, 2022 – the Russian woman was driving along the highway, at some point she felt a blow to the back of the car and got out of the car. At that moment, three men approached her, threatened her and forced her to get into the car and drive to the house.
Having reached the house, the criminals entered it together with Kotashenko, took 100 million rubles and disappeared. Investigators determined that four people were involved in the crime. Previously, information was published that Zhabborov received 10 million rubles for his part of the “work” in this raid.
It is assumed that the robbers received a “tip” in the media, having learned about the death of Gradsky and the process of dividing his inheritance. At the end of 2021, Olga Gradskaya, the ex-wife of the musician, hired lawyers to fight for his inheritance. She clarified that the composer “left a unique personal archive, the fate of which is extremely worrying to his associates.”
