The Russian coach wants to receive 150 million rubles (UAH 55.8 million – Ed.) from Facebook due to unjustified blocking.
The scandal broke out back in September – Facebook algorithms blocked mentions of the head coach of the Russian “Rotor” Dmitry Khokhlov because of “hate speech”. That is, the social network saw in the name Khokhlov an offensive name for Ukrainians in the genitive case.
Khokhlov decided to file a lawsuit on this matter, and in September a preliminary hearing on the case took place. Today, the details of the case were told in the Moscow Court, RIA Novosti reports.
In a lawsuit against Facebook, the coach demands to stop blocking his name in posts and comments and pay 150 million rubles in moral compensation.
Earlier we wrote that according to the decision of the Federal Court in Karlsruhe (Germany), the American social network Facebook is now obliged to allow users to maintain accounts under pseudonyms. True, the court verdict only applies to users registered under fictitious names for a long time.
