In Karpinsk, a court sentenced a resident of the city to 4 years and 2 months in a strict regime colony, who, out of hunger, tried to rob a clothing store. According to the publication “Evening Karpinsk”, the man was found guilty of robbery (Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to the publication, the incident occurred last fall. The man went into a clothing store and began to threaten the saleswoman with a knife, demanding to give him money from the cash register. There were 5,770 rubles in the cash register, but the saleswoman refused to give money to the robber. She grabbed the phone, which was lying near the cash register, the guy was frightened by this gesture and ran out of the store. The police arrived at the scene, and he surrendered himself. The man wrote a confession, in which, among other things, he said that he was pushed to the crime.
In 2018-2021, the man was serving a sentence in a colony for another robbery and in the summer of 2021 he was released on parole. He worked as a loader at a bakery for three months, then quit and could not find another job. The man quarreled with his parents, with whom he lived, so he spent the night in the entrances of houses.
On the day of the robbery, he went outside to shoot cigarettes, saw a knife at the entrance to one of the entrances and decided to rob the store to get some money. According to the man, he decided to rob because he had not eaten for several days.
“At the trial, he refused to testify. People who were witnesses in the case, including the saleswoman, confirmed what was said in a frank confession. By the way, the store director even asked the court not to “severely punish” Maxim, ”says the publication.
