Sao Paulo state police have arrested a 20-year-old man accused of stealing about 37,000 euros from the bank account of Brazilian football team striker and French club Paris Saint-Germain Neymar.

The young swindler worked in a bank whose clients turned out to be Neymar and his father, who acts as an agent, director and adviser to his son.
The crook somehow got a password from a colleague in the office in order to appropriate “small” amounts in his favor, but could not resist. The football player’s father immediately called the bank as soon as he noticed the loss of money, and received a refund.
The suspect was arrested in the Zona Leste area – one of the most densely populated areas of Sao Paulo.
According to police, the young man, whose identity was not disclosed, was part of a criminal group engaged in fraud through illegal operations.
