It became known that on February 23 in Narvik, Norway, the local coast guard, as well as police and customs officers, searched the Ragnar yacht owned by former KGB officer Vladimir Strzhalkovsky. The latter is called a longtime friend of Vladimir Putin.
At the moment, Vladimir Strizhalkovsky is the chairman of the All-Russian Sports Society “Dynamo”. This society is connected with law enforcement agencies. The cost of the yacht with the flag of Malta is about 85 million dollars.
KGB, Dubious Business and Family Love for Yachts
Vladimir Strzhalkovsky is a mathematician by education. In 1980, he left to serve in the KGB and rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel. And after leaving the service, Strizhalkovsky headed the Neva Firm CJSC. Apparently, he got into this business not by chance, but because he had such experience – in the KGB, Strizhalkovsky oversaw international tourism. According to rumors, his freelance assistants worked in Intourist hotels. Often near such hotels there were pandemoniums of girls. And later, “Neva” was at the center of the scandal because of these girls. In 1998, in the Finnish city of Kouvala, a criminal case was considered against the organizers of a brothel. Women from St. Petersburg came every week from the Neva, serving foreigners. The organizer of this “business” was Walter Simonyan with Sergei Timraliev and Natalia Oksa. Even Vladimir Strizhalkovsky suffered in this story, as he was forbidden to cross the Finnish border.
Strizhalkovsky himself denied any involvement in organizing a dubious business. He believed that this story was a stain on his reputation. In this he was right, but he was not able to clear himself even through the court. All his claims to journalists were rejected, because the media only told the truth. But Vladimir Strizhalkovsky was really worried about his future, because in 1999 he became deputy head of the Federal Agency for Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.
