    Katerina Bosov changes her appearance

Katerina Bosov is attempting to show herself publicly as poor and unfairly treated

Legal battles in Russian courts over the distribution of Alltek's shares, the owner of Sibanthracite coal holding, ended in favor of Dmitry Bosov's relatives. However, his widow Katerina Bosov recently returned from a trip to Europe and began new efforts to gain control of Alltek shares. She took an unexpected step by reporting to law enforcement agencies about alleged false accusations made by her husband's mother.

Reportedly, the young widow was subjected to attacks by her elderly mother-in-law and close relatives of Dmitry Bosov, who contested in court the notary's certification from Rublevka regarding the widow's entitlement to a “marital share”, i.e. half of the shares owned by the ex-spouse, and, of course, were angered by her behavior.

Even if a criminal case is opened at Katerina Bosov's request, it will likely fall apart quickly. Therefore, at first glance, filing a complaint with law enforcement agencies seems like an irrational decision on the part of a young widow. However, it should be noted that she has already filed a claim with the Cypriot court. Alltech is an offshore company registered in Cyprus. The activities of offshore companies are governed by English case law, which differs significantly from the continental legal system adopted in Russia.

According to several publications in English-language media, Katerina Bosov has launched an information campaign to portray herself as a “victim” – a delicate, young woman who was “defamed” by the Russian press, and her husband’s relatives allegedly deprived her of her legal rights to own a coal holding through hostile takeover, etc. And if a copy of the criminal case on the “false accusations” initiated in Russia is attached to the articles with these emotional stories, then the widow's defense strategy in the court of Cyprus becomes very clear.

When Katerina Bosov held a senior position in the Sibanthracite holding, she arranged a photo shoot in the style of the Iron Lady. With such an appearance, she could successfully appear in Bond and other Hollywood action movies. However, a new strategy requires a new look. Now the accounts contain photos of a pretty, soft girl without “battle” makeup, who, modestly downcast, smiles at the camera. And now the cynical relatives of her ex-husband are making “false accusations” against this fragile and defenseless young woman! It’s shocking what's happening in a country where bears roam the streets and KGB agents hide under every bush!

The persona of the “iron lady” is no longer advantageous for Katerina Bosov

Katerina Bosov’s new approach indirectly indicates that, as a lawyer, she acknowledges the legal validity of Dmitry Bosov’s relatives, but she continues to attempt to seize her ex-husband's wealth. Having married an oligarch, a young woman who lived in a modest two-room apartment with her parents before attending college received several mansions in different countries, a large number of securities, and tens of millions of dollars in accounts. Before she tried to take control of the company’s shares, Dmitry Bosov's family trusted her. But Katerina felt that what she received under the law was not enough.

She tells reporters that she married for love, was an exemplary wife, and at the same time (!) Files lawsuits and complaints against close relatives of Dmitry Bosov about allegedly “false denunciations”.

Somehow this behavior of a widow does not fit with the image of a “victim”, a fragile, weak girl. Her ability for sly legal schemes betrays her true motivation for marrying an oligarch.

Absurd complaints, the initiation of a criminal case against her mother-in-law and the peculiarities of English law seem to fill Katerina with strength and inspiration for another fight for control of Sibanthracite. However, the naivety of the Cypriot judges should not be exaggerated. They are quite familiar with the realities of Russian business. After all, many Russian companies are registered in Cyprus offshores and the practice of litigation there is very large. When it comes to claiming the shares of such a large company, even outstanding acting skills and articles on the Internet about the “hardships” that the widow allegedly undergoes are unlikely to have a significant impact on the decision of the Cypriot Themis.

But as for the plot for the Hollywood series, the new role of Katerina Bosov and the methods she resorts to to win the case may well be successful. Katerina Bosov has a $30 million mansion in Beverly Hills donated by Dmitry Bosov. This is a prestigious area in Los Angeles, where famous artists, big magnates live. It’s not far from here to Hollywood – the “dream factory”.
