Four Russians took two men to the forest and extorted half a million rubles
In Irkutsk, four local residents were charged with kidnapping two men and extortion.
This was reported on Tuesday, February 14, in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) for the region.
According to the agency, on the evening of January 5, near the house on Mironov Street, the defendants dragged the victims into a car and took them to the forest. There they began to threaten the victims with violence and extort half a million rubles. As a result, the men gave the full amount and were released.
The perpetrators were soon arrested. Two were placed in a pre-trial detention center, one was placed under house arrest, and the question of the arrest of the latter is being decided at the moment.
