“As I said before, I have always made decisions based on the interests of the club, therefore, in the current situation, I have decided to sell it, as I believe that this is in the interests of the club, fans, employees, as well as sponsors and partners of the club,” said Abramovich.
According to the agency, the sale will not be expedited, but should go through due process. Abramovich also instructed to create a charitable foundation that will work for the benefit of all victims of the military operation in Ukraine. All net proceeds from the sale will be sent there, RIA Novosti specifies.
