The situation involving a kindergarten near Kyiv: VAKS seized the belongings of former accountant Gatny.
The Anti-Corruption Court granted a request from the NABU detective to take the belongings of the suspect in the kindergarten case near Kyiv.
The High Anti-Corruption Court took the belongings of Alina Pivkach, the former chief accountant of the Gatnensky village council in the Kyiv region. She is suspected of stealing UAH 27.3 million for the construction of a preschool institution in Gatny.
VAKS made this decision on November 10, which was upheld by the Appeal Chamber on December 13, according to Word and Deed reports.

According to reports, VAKS seized the following belongings of Pivkach: two land plots measuring 0.0891 hectares and 0.118 hectares, as well as two land plots measuring 0.12 hectares and a residential building covering an area of 290.7 square meters. The suspect's lawyer disagreed with this decision and filed an appeal, but it was rejected.
“The defense lawyer's request to extend the appeal deadline is denied. The suspect's defender's appeal was dismissed, and the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court's investigating judge dated November 10, 2022 remains unchanged,” the decision states.
Previously, VAKS set bail at UAH 1.736 million for the suspect Pivkach.</p
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO suspected five individuals of embezzling UAH 27.3 million for the construction of a preschool institution in Gatny. Among the suspects is the former village head, Bronislav Koritsky.
The investigation revealed that in late 2017, the director of Alliance DS LLC, Protas, and the village council chairman, Koritsky, conspired to take money from the local community budget. The corruption scheme was carried out under the pretext of building a necessary kindergarten for the community.
In February 2018, the village council announced open tenders for the construction of a 280-place preschool institution, which was won by Design and Construction Alliance LLC. According to the tender conditions, Design and Construction Alliance LLC was supposed to construct the institution and have it operating by the end of 2018. The auction winner and village council officials embezzled over UAH 27.3 million during the construction of the incomplete kindergarten.
During the investigation, it was found that fake work completion certificates were created, including overpricing of construction work and materials, as well as payment to Alliance DS LLC for project documentation development services that were not actually provided.
The investigation views the former head of Gatny, Koritsky, and the head of Alliance DS LLC, Protas, as the masterminds behind the scheme. The ex-directors of Design and Construction Alliance LLC, Sergey Mirny and Vyacheslav Pank, are also suspects in the case.
