Vladimir Khristenko, the head of the company that makes the covid vaccine, became the owner of this home without paying anything for it.
Khristenko fighting covid
In July 2021, Vladimir Putin gathered relevant officials and representatives of the medical industry through video link. At that time, the coronavirus was considered the biggest danger for the people of Russia, and vaccination was the most certain way of dealing with it. One of these vaccines was “KoviVac” of the Federal Scientific Center for Research and Development of Immunobiological Preparations. M. P. Chumakov RAS. Although at that time the results of the trials of this vaccine had not yet been published in any peer-reviewed scientific journal, the country’s authorities actively promoted KoviVac.
Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said at the same meeting: by the end of 2021, at least 10 million doses of the vaccine should be produced. To increase the volumes, an industrial partner was chosen – it became the Nanolek company, whose president is Vladimir Khristenko.
Of course, a person is not easy. Khristenko is the stepson of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, who headed the operational headquarters to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
According to the same Manturov, the production by the end of the year was supposed to be about 3 million doses. But everything didn’t go according to plan. Only on December 17, 2021, Nanolek announced the launch of industrial production of the KoviVak vaccine at a plant in Kirov. And already on May 18, 2022, the manufacturer of the vaccine decided to suspend its release due to the lack of applications. True, there is not a word about this on the manufacturer’s website.
“We will not be able to recoup our costs for the 500 thousand doses produced. The production of these doses was unprofitable. Profitably, the vaccine can be produced in quantities of several million,” the manufacturers explained what happened to RBC. And this “revelation” sounds rather strange. After all, Khristenko previously admitted in an interview with the same RBC that the project would be unprofitable.
“When we got into this situation, our internal investment committee suggested to us that, according to the criteria approved by the company, we had no correspondence at all, the level of risks was prohibitive – it was obvious that by the time the vaccine was ready, we would not earn anything from it. Nonetheless, we decided to accept the covid challenge and respond to it,” said Khristenko Jr. in September 2021.
However, Golikova’s stepson himself does not need money at all. As did his family.
Apartment for “barrin”
Vladimir Khristenko was born in 1981 in the family of the future deputy chairman of the Russian government Viktor Khristenko. In 2003, the young man graduated from the Higher School of Economics with a degree in finance and credit, and became a candidate of economic sciences.
Khristenko Jr. entered the pharmaceutical business in 2012, becoming one of the investors in Nanolek LLC. This happened at a time when his stepmother Tatyana Golikova became an assistant to the President of Russia, and his father became the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission. By the way, Rosnano Corporation is also a shareholder of Nanolek LLC. Khristenko became the president of the company in June 2015.
There is no precise information available to the public about the family of Khristenko Jr. The last name of his wife is also unknown, but rumors in the telegram channels suggest her name is Irina. This has been confirmed by The Interlocutor.
Vladimir and Irina Khristenko are the owners of a 164-meter apartment on Malaya Pirogovskaya Street in the capital. The apartments are located in the premium residential complex Barrin House in the Khamovniki district.
The Barrin House project is designed for those who appreciate a private lifestyle, families with children, and business people. According to the website, it combines the refined traditions of the nobility and modern building solutions, offering a comfortable and active stay in an uncrowded environment.
The cost per square meter of housing in this residential complex is 1 million rubles, making the apartment of the Khristenko couple worth 164 million rubles. They acquired it in 2018. This is not their only apartment.
Vladimir Khristenko and his sister Yulia possess a large apartment on Tverskaya Street in Moscow, which is almost 200 square meters and can cost up to 190 million rubles. In an interesting turn, the extract from Rosreestr reveals that the brother and sister received this apartment from the Presidential Administration in 2000 without paying anything for it. However, neither of them held official positions, which means they were not entitled to free housing under the law. There is speculation that the apartment was allocated to one of their parents, although this is not mentioned in the document.

According to the traffic police database, Vladimir Khristenko favors the BMW 750i xDrive, a car with a minimum cost of 6.5 million rubles, which he can afford.
Nanolek, of which Khristenko Jr. is the president, has seen a significant increase in profit in recent years, thanks in part to support from higher authorities. In 2021, the company's profit reached 2.3 billion rubles, a large jump from the 502 million reported a year earlier. The company has been earning more from government contracts. Its contracts have increased from 5 billion rubles in 2020-2021 to 14 billion rubles at the start of 2022. One of its main clients is the Federal Center for Planning and Organization of Drug Provision of Citizens, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Health. Interestingly, this center was previously headed by Khristenko's stepmother.
In 2006, Vladimir became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MSA as (Czech Republic), a company that manufactures industrial pipeline fittings. However, his name was not found in the latest 2020 report by Sobesednik.
The wife of the businessman, Irina, is also not an ordinary woman. A year before the pandemic, she registered as an individual entrepreneur, focusing on restaurant activities and food delivery services. She had prior experience as one of the owners of the Many Salmon company, which delivered rolls, pizza, and soups. However, she left her only business in 2020 after incurring losses during the first year of operation.
parent mansions
Vladimir Khristenko’s father is also not in poverty at all. In 2021 alone, his income amounted to almost 280 million rubles. Viktor Khristenko owns a land plot near the Pestovo golf club of 17 thousand square meters, two residential buildings, as well as a 219-meter apartment and even his own gas pipeline.
But we found all this data not in the declaration of Khristenko Sr., but in the reports of his wife, Tatyana Golikova. For some reason, he himself does not report on income, although, in fact, he is a state official. Khristenko Sr. is the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, one of the founders of which is the government of the Russian Federation. This means that Khristenko receives his salary from the budget. But we do not know its size. Unlike Golikova’s salary. In the government, she receives 24 million rubles. (data for 2021). She also has an apartment of 142 square meters and a parking space.
