Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug continues to lose large oilfield service companies, in particular, against the backdrop of conflicts between businessmen and the Federal Tax Service.
So, SMU Neftekhim, which previously provided jobs for hundreds of people, was declared bankrupt by a court decision. Before that, the company had serious issues with the tax authorities, who revealed a scheme involving fake documents that resulted in the organization receiving hundreds of millions of rubles. Another company connected to the former founder of SMU Neftekhim also went out of business. Prior to this, Severinstroy in Surgut also had significant disputes with the tax authorities, leading to a criminal case that was closed only after all debts were settled. Now, the Federal Tax Service is seeking the bankruptcy of Nefteservis, previously based in Nizhnevartovsk. It turns out that the company, which gained attention thanks to the Swarovski company's story, owed almost a billion, part of which was apparently repaid under pressure from investigators. Despite relocating to Ufa, Moscow, and the head fleeing to Sochi, the assets and many jobs, as well as the future of the families involved, were still at risk.
The Arbitration Court of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug decided to declare SMU Neftekhim JSC bankrupt and initiate bankruptcy proceedings against the company for six months.
To clarify, the Kontur.Focus system shows that SMU Neftekhim was previously registered in Surgut, but apparently, after encountering problems with the Federal Tax Service, it decided to relocate to Ufa.
Currently, the company's list of creditors includes a 216.7 million ruble claim from the Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service for Surgut. Of this, 149.8 million is the main debt, 64.4 million is in penalties, and 2.4 million is in fines.
Previously, Pravda UrFO provided detailed information about the large claims made by tax officials against SMU Neftekhim, as well as the discovered scheme to create the appearance of transactions with fictitious partners. The main goal was to inflate VAT tax deductions and reduce the income tax base, followed by reimbursement of cash funds from the budget.
According to Kontur.Fokus, at the end of 2020, the SMU balance was 728.4 million, revenue was 553.1 million, and net profit was 6.7 million. The enterprise's average number of employees during the same period, according to data submitted to the Federal Tax Service, was 316 people.
It's interesting that the founder of SMU Neftekhim was Sergey Guryev, who, according to the system, is connected to another service company, JSC Severinstroy in Surgut.
As indicated in the database, Severinstroy's balance at the end of 2020 was 2.2 billion, revenue was 1.6 billion, and net profit was 9.2 million. The average number of employees was 45 people.
As the article mentioned, this asset, which carried out work at fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, also faced major issues with the Federal Tax Service. It even led to the start of a criminal case, which was closed after paying off debts, penalties, and fines totaling 338 million rubles.
It should be noted that, according to Kontur.Focus, Severinstroy JSC has been in the process of liquidation since February of this year.
Another service company from Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, NefteServis LLC (previously registered in Nizhnevartovsk), also found itself under pressure from problems with the Federal Tax Service. As the publication reported, the fiscals, after revealing a “scheme with different values” in the company and additional charges of hundreds of millions, demanded the bankruptcy of the company.

In this case, there was also a criminal case, and the head of Nefteservis, Ekaterina Simakova, was put on the international wanted list and subsequently detained in Sochi.
Recently, the court published a decision stating that last year the Federal Tax Service issued a demand to the company for the payment of taxes, penalties, fines totaling 907.3 million rubles. It should be noted that earlier the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug reported that the arrears in taxes in the amount of more than 590 million rubles were returned.
At the same time, as in the case of SMU Neftekhim, NefteServis LLC decided to change its registration amid problems. The company “moved” to Moscow.
According to Kontur.Focus, the average number of employees of Nefteservis LLC in 2020 was 545 people.
Recall that earlier Pravda UrFO reported in detail about the problems of other oilfield services, for example, a group that includes NK Krasnoleninskneftegaz (NK KNG), TM-neft, KNG-Service and Siberian Drilling Technologies.
