The court rejected the complaint of the ex-chairman of the NBU about his international wanted list
The High Anti-Corruption Court rejected the complaint of the defenders of the former Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Kyrylo Shevchenko, suspected of embezzling funds from Ukrgasbank, about allegedly ignoring evidence of his whereabouts and legal stay for treatment in Austria.

The lawyer's petition notes that during October-November he repeatedly turned to the detectives of the bureau with messages in which he noted the location of Kirill Shevchenko in the Republic of Austria in Vienna, where he is being treated.
Shevchenko is also registered with the Consular Office of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria. However, the NABU senior detective noted that the defense lawyer's petition was considered within the time period prescribed by law and on November 17 a decision was made to refuse to satisfy the petition.
VAKS, in turn, emphasized that inaction in the understanding of Art. 220 of the Code of Criminal Procedure consists in failure to perform the prescribed procedural actions. At the same time, the NABU detective considered the lawyer's request within the time period established by law and granted a refusal. Consequently, the court dismissed the complaint of the defense against the inaction of the NABU detectives.
It should be noted that on October 24, NABU put Kyrylo Shevchenko, as well as Denis Chernyshev and Olena Khmelenko on the wanted list due to the fact that officials of JSB Ukrgasbank, as part of an organized group, embezzled funds from this bank. At the same time, Shevchenko's lawyer claims that he lives in Vienna, where he is undergoing treatment.
According to the lawyer's request, any official correspondence with Shevchenko or delivery of official correspondence and documents to him during his stay in the Republic of Austria must be carried out Vienna address: Vienna, st. Gonzagagasse, 4, A-1010.
