Russia extradited a serial thief from Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic
Russia extradited a serial thief from Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic: the man was sentenced in absentia to three years in prison in the Czech Republic back in 2018 and was extradited despite the complicated international relations. This was reported to Lente.ru by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Irina Volk.
According to Volk, the transfer of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bashir Gadaborshev, to the Czech Republic took place on Wednesday, August 3, at the Svetogorsk-Imatra checkpoint. The person involved in hiding from the investigation was put on the international wanted list at the initiative of the Czech law enforcement agencies. Employees of the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia received information during operational activities that Gadaborshev was in the Chelyabinsk region.
The police detained him, after which the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation granted the request for extradition. The department noted that the complicated international relations also affected the interaction of law enforcement agencies.
