Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan discussed the situation in the South Caucasus, a correspondent reports. DOPs with reference to website Russian Foreign Ministry.
The event took place “on the sidelines” of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS.
The parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda. There was also an exchange of views on regional issues.
“Steps on comprehensive stabilization of the situation in the South Caucasus were considered. The need to intensify efforts on all tracks of the agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan dated November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021 was emphasized,” the publication clarifies.
Recall that last month a meeting was held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. They are discussed bilateral relations and more.
