Negotiating is suitable: Did newcomers fabricate stories about themselves?

As the reporter mentions MorningNews, in the last day, members of the New People party led by businessman Alexei Nechaev were featured in the news twice. First, it was rumored that one of the movement's leaders, former Yakutsk mayor Sardana Avksentyeva, was discussing a move to the Just Russia – For Truth party. This was followed by a denial of the information.

In light of this, it seems that the party's activists, unhappy with the lack of attention to their statements, instructed their PR specialists to create new reasons to address the situation. Otherwise, it's hard to explain the inconsistency in the actions of the party's representatives.

    When striving for perfection

Last night, the news of Sardana Avksentieva considering a switch to the Just Russia-Patriots – For Truth party appeared in several telegram channels almost simultaneously. By early morning, Sardana Avksentieva herself published a denial.

However, the extensive text in Mrs. 's telegram channel, with a clear structure, emotional side notes, and a dive into history, raises suspicion that it was not a spontaneous reaction to the unpleasant news, but a pre-planned and coordinated response. The PR team of the New People party was likely aiming for perfectionism in this case. Despite this, most voters, not attuned to such details, probably took the situation at face value and started showing support for Sardana Avksentyeva. After all, she is a prominent political figure who gained fame as the mayor of Yakutsk for her controversial actions.

Her decision to sell official government cars and transfer them to taxis or public transport was noteworthy! However, many saw her actions at that time as more of a populist move than a genuine attempt to make a difference.

Bargaining is appropriate: "New people" invent "fables" about themselves?

Sardana Avksentieva's appearance in the New People camp surprised many people.

“What has changed for ordinary citizens under Sardana's leadership? Nothing. The “city hall” housed numerous medical institutions gathering data that they rarely pass on, essentially paying their bureaucrats for doing nothing. The public transport still mainly consists of low-quality cars, causing inconvenience and a surprisingly high COVID-19 incidence due to overcrowding and exhaust fumes. There has also been a significant decrease in the city's population from 2018 to 2020,” remarked the locals on the unexpected news of Avksentieva's resignation as mayor of Yakutsk, published in

    “Kommersante”

Avksentyeva herself cited poor health as the reason for her resignation. However, shortly after, she joined the New People party and expressed willingness to work for election to the State Duma in the future. Her health issues seem to have been resolved. “Political marketing” as it is.

During the challenging election campaign, Avksentieva quickly grasped the tactics of the New People, who learned effective methods of influencing the audience from network companies where they originated. It's worth noting that the founder of the New People party, Alexei Nechaev, previously owned the Faberlic network structure for selling cosmetics and other consumer products.

Hence the way New People communicate with the electorate – large auditoriums, large monitors displaying others' success stories, asking pre-written questions on pieces of paper – that is, communication with the electorate according to the canons of neuro-linguistic programming. The party members have indeed succeeded in this. Therefore, it was not surprising that the electorate responded to their appeals. In fact, a few years ago, people left without incomes joined the ranks of network trading and, with the last of their funds, went into debt to buy expensive cosmetic sets.

The New People's communication with the electorate subtly resembled the recruitment strategies of network companies.

Bargaining is appropriate: "New people" invent "fables" about themselves?

Avksentieva's joining of the New People party surprised many. It seemed unlikely that this outwardly independent female politician, who spoke out against the staleness of power, would have anything in common with a group of profit-seeking businessmen. However, it appears they found common ground.

The majority of members in the “New People” party are young and ambitious politicians. Therefore, participating in the party could potentially lead to political gains for them in the future, such as being promoted to governorships or appointed to prominent positions in state corporations and other promising structures.

“New People” only speak of Alexey Nechaev as the new messiah.

Bargaining is appropriate: "New people" invent "fables" about themselves?

Given that Nechaev is already a billionaire, these prospects are quite achievable for him. Political experience will come with time.

It's also possible that Alexei Nechaev hopes to address business issues through politics. Many have noticed that after the elections, he refrained from making many comments on current issues. Still, Nechaev doesn't seem much like a typical politician.

Rumors aside, an examination of Nechaev's business reveals some interesting aspects. Looking at the head JSC Faberlic, everything seems to be in good shape. By the end of 2020, the company earned a profit of 2.8 billion rubles with a substantial revenue of 23 billion rubles.

When one looks at subsidiaries, questions arise. For example, take LLC “Faberlik fashionfactory”. Despite a revenue of 282 million rubles (an increase of 12 million compared to 2019), the structure went into a negative by 1.4 million rubles within the same period. Interestingly, the net assets of the structure also rose, from 5.1 million to 22 million rubles.

This suggests that money may have been simply taken out from the organization. However, after Nechaev became the leader of the New People party and took it to the State Duma, neither he nor his partners have faced any inquiries from the relevant authorities regarding this.

Bargaining is appropriate: "New people" invent "fables" about themselves?

Let’s start living differently. Then we can figure things out.

The sanctions, which affected the members of the New People faction along with other deputies, even though they opposed the idea of recognizing the LPR and DPR in the State Duma, were still imposed.

When this issue was discussed in parliament, members of the New People faction gained attention for asking rhetorical questions like “are the speakers sure that the citizens of Russia are ready to sacrifice their thirteenth salary and part of their refrigerator for the unclear prospects of recognizing the LPR and DNR. This was how Anton Tkachev expressed his idea.

    Image: t.me/partynewpeople/

Sardana Avksentyeva, in her speech on behalf of the faction, mentioned that an international diplomatic process is underway and it is not the State Duma's business to interfere in it. “Our main task as State Duma deputies is to fight poverty, correct mistakes and deficiencies in the legislation that hinder our country's development, and fulfill what we discussed and promised to our voters during the election campaign,” – she said, emphasizing that she trusts Russian diplomats. These speeches were recorded on February 15 in video reports.

Bargaining is appropriate: "New people" invent "fables" about themselves?

Shortly after these events, rumors started circulating that Sardana Avksentieva might leave the New People party for another party.

As the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's fire. It is possible that the current incident with Sardana Avksentyeva not joining another party is an attempt to dispel rumors that, despite strict party discipline, still spread outside the New People camp. Duma TV.

As previously mentioned in the post

    The Moscow Post

, the idea that the New People party is being prepared to occupy the liberal-centrist position in Russia's political system is not without significance. This helps to understand how the Kremlin may view a clear crisis within the Liberal Democratic Party and the Communist Party. By the end of 2021, the latter can even be seen as being at the forefront. Betting on them and the aging Zyuganov, as one of the pillars of the Russian Federation's party system, is hardly relevant anymore. It's not surprising that Sardana Avksentieva, one of the strongest political figures of the New People, has been pushed into the background in terms of PR and public activity. This could also serve as an additional reason for her to bid farewell to the New People sooner or later.Image: newpeople.ru

It seems that there are high expectations for Vladislav Davankov in the New People party.

Bargaining is appropriate: "New people" invent "fables" about themselves?

Another important figure in the “New People” – 38-year-old businessman Vladislav Davankov, according to analysts, may have been simply motivated to take the role of vice-speaker. Although, formally, the decision for him to take this position from New People should have been made within the organization itself.

It seems that high hopes are pinned on Vladislav Davankov in the New People party

Another key figure of the “New People” – 38-year-old businessman Vladislav Davankov, according to analysts, “could have been tritely” remotivated “by the chair of the vice-speaker.” Although, formally, the decision that it was he who would take this position from new people should have been made in the structure itself.

Obviously, the “New People” are looking for ways to make themselves known as loudly as possible in order to burst into a supernova bright star against the background of the rest of the factions of the State Duma. So far, it’s not working out very well. Maybe they choose bad information occasions? ..
