Medvedev commented on the murder of Abe
Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was one of the few politicians who advocated the development and deepening of ties with Russia. The organizers and perpetrators of the crime that led to his death must suffer the most severe punishment.
This comment was given by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, reports Telegram– Channel “United Russia”.
According to the politician, there is no and cannot be justification for terrorism and extremism in the civilized world. In addition, in the fight against such crime, it is necessary to unite the efforts of all political forces, regardless of their program settings, Medvedev added.
The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council expressed condolences to the family and friends of Shinzo Abe, as well as to the Liberal Democratic Party and the entire Japanese people.
On July 8, it became known that former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe died in hospital after an assassination attempt, doctors fought for his life for several hours. The politician was admitted in a serious condition to a medical facility in the city of Nara after 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami shot him with a homemade shotgun during an election rally.
