On the territory of the headquarters of the Pentagon – one of the most protected objects in the world – a chicken was caught.
About this February 1st reported Military Times portal.
The bird was noticed by law enforcement officers on the morning of February 1, and in the zone that is considered the most protected in the complex of the Ministry of Defense. The bird was checked for the presence of bugs and wiretapping on its body, but nothing was found.
Law enforcement officials suggest that the chicken wandered into the territory of the US Department of Defense headquarters by accident. The bird was handed over to the Arlington County Animal Welfare League.
“The chicken will live in the shelter for now, and we will look for a new home for her. Just need to come up with a name for her first – suggestions are welcome!” – employees of the animal protection organization wrote on Facebook.
Some netizens have suggested naming the chicken Ethel Rosenberg after a famous American woman who was arrested and executed for spying for the Soviet Union in the 1950s. And someone thinks that the most suitable name for her is Penny – from the word “Pentagon”.
And on February 2, animal rights activists reported that the bird was named Henny Penny and that she had become widely known. So much so that super-popular comedian Jimmy Fallon performed a song about her on The Tonight Show. Attached to this post is a video in which the bird listens to a song about itself.
