“NABU is looking for a former people’s deputy of Ukraine, who is considered the organizer of a corruption scheme for causing UAH 93.3 million in damage to Odesa Port Plant JSC (99.57% belong to the state),” the message says.
Granovsky was announced on the international wanted list.
On October 21, 2022, NABU and SAP informed Granovsky about suspicion under part 3 of article 27, part 2 of article 28, part 2 of art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, Granovsky organized a scheme according to which the Odessa Port Plant sold mineral fertilizers to a predetermined company at below market prices.
In the future, the company resold the goods to foreign companies in the real sector of the economy at competitive prices. However, these companies were physically supplied by OPP.
Granovsky during the presidency of Petro Poroshenko was called “the president's curator in the courts and the prosecutor's office.” Journalists repeatedly filmed his meetings with judges and prosecutors.
In November 2015, a search was conducted at the OPF as part of an investigation into a corruption case in the sale of urea by the plant to the British company Newscope Estates Limited for 1.63 billion hryvnias with 5% discount. Then Olga Tkachenko, a member of the board of the Odessa Portside Plant, who was associated with the people’s deputy of the BPP Alexander Granovsky, had her phone seized.
In May 2016, the Solomensky Court of Kyiv banned the NABU from using Tkachenko’s Viber correspondence as evidence in criminal proceedings.</p
In September 2016, Granovsky stated that he was not interested in the Odessa Port Plant and did not influence its activities.
