SAP will send a new case of ex-people's deputy Martynenko to court in February
The Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the NABU detective's request to speed up the procedure for bringing the former deputy's case to court.
After February 13, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office will send criminal proceedings to the court on suspicion of former MP Nikolai Martynenko of receiving 311.5 thousand euros in unlawful benefits and their legalization.
This decision was made on January 4 by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, which it limited side of the defense in terms of familiarization with the investigation, reports Slovo i delo.

“The petition of the NABU detective to set a time limit for familiarization with the materials of the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is partially satisfied. To establish for the defense side (the suspect (Nikolai Martynenko – ed.) and his defense lawyers) a period for familiarization with the materials of the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings until February 13, 2023 inclusive, after which they will be considered to have exercised their right to access to the materials, “- stated in the decision.
As you know, the High Anti-Corruption Court refused to arrest Martynenko and gave him almost UAH 5 million bail. He was also given a number of responsibilities. Later, the VAKS Appeals Chamber increased the bail to UAH 24.7 million.
Recall that at the end of July, NABU and SAP reported a new suspicion to Mykola Martynenko. He is charged with obtaining 311,000 euros in unlawful benefits and money laundering.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that in July 2014 Martynenko received from the management of the Czech company SKODA JS a.s. unlawful benefit in the amount of 311.5 thousand euros for promoting the interests of the specified Czech company and promoting its interests in Ukraine.
