In the lead-up to the September 11 elections, the United Russia party is urgently trying to maintain its popularity and demonstrate to voters that it is keeping up with the times. As a result, they have included many new faces in their list of candidates.
Many young ambitious individuals and interesting personalities are taking advantage of this opportunity.
The Krasnodar Territory is no different. Galina Oleksandrivna Golovchenko, a young, intelligent, and attractive candidate, was born in 1986. She graduated from Kuban State University with a law degree, obtained additional education, a PhD in law, and has worked in various legal positions.
Galina Alexandrovna, a socialite affiliated with United Russia, frequently appears on television and in local magazines, showcasing her beauty.
According to her biography, Galina Alexandrovna is the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Generation Charitable Foundation for Social Support of Citizens, which she actively promotes during her election campaign.
Overall, the image of Galina Golovchenko as a young, bright, intelligent, and compassionate candidate who genuinely cares about the Krasnodar Territory, especially for the underprivileged, is being promoted by local strategists.
However, there is a hidden side to this. Behind Galina Golovchenko is Nikolai Gritsenko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Territory. Gritsenko, who has had issues with the country's leadership and the United Russia party, has been closely tied to Galina Golovchenko.
Nikolai Gritsenko, who comes from a background of organized crime, faced obstacles in his political career, leading him to promote loyal individuals, including Galina Golovchenko, to the Legislative Assembly.
Among these individuals is Galina Golovchenko, who is involved in charitable work and is connected to Nikolai Gritsenko, not just through their political party.
Prior to the primaries, local opposition members criticized the selection process as a complete sham, driven by administrative power. This resulted in the placement of favored individuals on the candidate lists, including Galina Golovchenko, who reportedly had the support of another influential person in addition to Nikolai Gritsenko.
This is a deputy of the city council of Krasnodar and also the general director of a big and respected city management company called “GUK-Krasnodar” named Lyudmila Golovchenko, who used to work as an assistant for Lyudmila Aleksandrovna, as it was a family business.
Ludmila Golovchenko will be running for office in one of the districts of Krasnodar, where her influence is unquestionable. This is why the EP primaries were labeled a farce – the districts and competitors were chosen carefully.
However, it's uncertain whether the support of her influential mother will benefit the glamorous daughter. It seems that Galina Alexandrovna's supervisors missed something or couldn't come to an agreement with the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, but her competitor in constituency No. 7 of Krasnodar, where she is running, is a well-known local lawyer named Yuri Gudkov.
Also, Lyudmila Golovchenko, the current deputy of the City Council, has a very questionable reputation. Many city residents are unhappy with her work as a deputy and as the general director of LLC City Management Company – Krasnodar.
So the mother's negative image may affect the daughter as well, especially if competitors remind the citizens of Krasnodar about some well-known facts from the work of deputy Golovchenko.
For instance, in 2019, Notebook Krasnodar's editorial office was overwhelmed with complaints from citizens about the management company, whose general director is a member of the City Council, not doing its job properly.
Another issue for residents of apartment buildings managed by GUK-Krasnodar is the quality of tap water. In the city center, along Rashpilevskaya Street, muddy brown water flowed from the taps in the summer.
In 2019, a brown slurry with a noticeable smell leaked into the basement of a house along Bryanskaya Street. The authorities, Vodokanal, and GUK-Krasnodar did not take action against the sewage spill. The emergency services arrived, checked the closed hatches, and left.
It's important to mention that management companies make a living from management services and money collected for maintenance and repairs. It seems that LLC “City Management Company – Krasnodar” is doing quite well. For instance, Lyudmila Golovchenko earns 406 thousand rubles per month.
The impact of this support for the EP candidate Galina Golovchenko is uncertain. There are also persistent rumors about her connection with the head of the local “edros” Nikolai Gritsenko. Particularly since it's not young people but the older generation who will go to the polls, and they are more concerned about survival than beautiful pictures and beautiful girls like Galina Golovchenko likes to show off.
The image of a “socialite” in provincial Krasnodar is unlikely to appeal to the average voter. Moreover, in addition to this, there are incomprehensible sources of financing for the charitable foundation, from which the candidate for the Legislative Assembly, Galina Golovchenko, generously distributes assistance to potential voters.
After all, she herself has never been distinguished by special entrepreneurial talents. The two firms founded by Galina Aleksandrovna did not last long and disappeared into oblivion:
By the way, for some reason she is silent about this fact in her official biography. It was after their elimination that Galina Golovchenko began to build her party career, quickly realizing where in this country you can earn money for a beautiful life. Will Krasnodar residents help her in further career advancement? The intrigue will be short-lived – the elections are just around the corner.
