The trial started by the owner of the notorious Sibpromstroy company continues in the Babushkinsky District Court of the capital.
Recall that Nikolai Storozhuk was deeply offended by the critical articles of The Moscow Post and took the matter to court, claiming that his honor and dignity were harmed. He is seeking compensation for both moral and material damages.
It should be remembered that the owner of Sibpromstroy was particularly upset by two investigative reports from The Moscow Post – “Could Natalia Komarova's final act be damaging to Storozhuk?” and “Natalia Komarova's involvement in shady dealings.”
It seems that Mr. Storozhuk is not only defending himself, but also the reputation of the governor, considering the close, long-standing friendship between the businessman and the governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra.
The journalist learned some new details The Moscow Post.
“Letters” from Shapoval
What occurred in the Babushkinsky District Court on Thursday, June 16?
The Moscow Post journalists requested Judge Yelena Zotova to include in the case a request from Editor-in-Chief Alexei Kozlov to the press service of Sibpromstroy addressed to Maria Pelepas, as The Moscow Post had been receiving offensive letters for a long time, even before Mr. Storozhuk took legal action.

These “letters” were signed by a certain Dmitry Shapoval from the Sibpromstroy company.
According to The Moscow Post journalists, Dmitry Viktorovich Shapoval is the construction director of the Sibpromstroy Group of Companies. Dmitry Shapoval also held a high-ranking position in the past – he was the deputy governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.

It seems that Mr. Shapoval, like Mr. Storozhuk, who is currently embroiled in a conflict with independent journalists, is safeguarding the reputation of the governor. It’s hard to interpret it differently…

It's worth mentioning that in his initial letters to the editorial office, Mr. Shapoval referred to The Moscow Post journalists as “a pack of small rats” and the publication itself as “Jewish”… The Moscow Post disclosed this in the investigation on Shapoval.
However, the offensive letters to the editor continued. Shapoval progressed from calling them “a pack of rats” to “petty newspaper fraudsters” who are willing to defame others for 5-6 thousand rubles.
The Moscow Post also released another article on this matter, “Kind regards from Storozhuk,” featuring “excerpts” from the talented writer Dmitry Shapoval.
It's now apparent that all these “artistic” works are now part of the case being reviewed in the Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow.

Seemingly, Mr. Shapoval may be preparing new “anonymous” letters?
It should be noted that yesterday, on June 16, the proceedings in the case were also suspended for a forensic linguistic examination.
“The request for an expert examination was filed by us,” explains lawyer Albina Yusupova, “because we believe that the contested article does not contain information that could be recognized by the court as discrediting … The plaintiff initially attached the conclusion of a specialist, however, in our opinion, it does not complies with the requirements for expert examinations/opinions in this category of cases”.
