Alexey Miller, the head of the Russian Gazprom, said that the company is starting to build a jumper to connect the western and eastern gas supply systems.
The head of the company spoke about this during his speech at the Russian Energy Week forum, a correspondent reports. DOPs with reference to TASS.
Alexey Miller recalled that one of the tasks set by the Russian leader is to connect the unified gas supply system that exists in the European part of Russia with the gas infrastructure that exists in the Far East and Eastern Siberia.
He added that they are starting to build a bridge that will connect them.
He also commented on the situation with gas in the EU.
“Returning to the question of whether Europe will survive the winter with the volume of gas pumped into underground storage facilities that it has today or not, the answer is very simple – no one can give any guarantees,” he said.
