The head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, said that she does not like to look for the bottom in any issues, including those related to the Russian economy, but the situation in the world is deteriorating, and in this regard, the country must accelerate its own structural transformation, the correspondent reports. “I don’t like to look for a bottom in any issues,” she answered on the sidelines of the Finopolis forum when asked whether the Russian economy has gone through the bottom or will there still be a recession.
At the same time, she added that the situation in the world is escalating economically and geopolitically, therefore the Central Bank believes that, along with the basic, conservative, but rather optimistic scenario, options for a worse development of the situation should be considered.
