According to the agency, the searches were carried out in the department of contract relations in the field of procurement. The deputy head of the Ministry of Health was taken away for interrogation to the department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) for the Chelyabinsk region. Investigators were primarily interested in information about violations in the field of procurement of medical equipment and the possible conclusion of contracts for the supply of tomographs at inflated prices.
