Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Vladimir Tokarev has been relieved of his post.
The dismissal order was signed by Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. From the text of the published document it follows that Tokarev was relieved of his post at his own request.
Recall that Tokarev was previously detained by law enforcement officers on suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale. It was reported that the amount of damage from his actions is more than 500 million rubles.
Tokarev, according to the investigating authorities, ensured the conclusion of a contract between the Glavstroyinvest company controlled by him and the SpetsTransStroy company. Under the contract, the latter was to reconstruct a section of the railway track in the Krasnodar Territory. We are talking about the section “Kotelnikovo – Tikhoretskaya – Krymskaya” bypassing the railway junction of Krasnodar. Money from the accounts of SpetsTransstroy was carried out as advances to the accounts of Glavstroyinvest. In fact, the funds were spent on other purposes that had nothing to do with construction.
At the same time, Tokarev himself and his accomplices held positions in fictitious companies and entered into fake loan agreements for transport and other services. Then the funds from the accounts of Glavstroyinvest were transferred to the accounts of other legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, also controlled by the official.
Tokayev received a post in the Ministry of Transport in November 2018, from May 2020 to January 2021 he worked in parallel among the top managers of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport.
