AFK Sistema Group is exploring the possibility of buying the Russian assets of the Swedish company IKEA.

He stated that the company is conducting an analysis of enterprises and is preparing tender documentation.
In the summer of 2022, the Swedish IKEA announced its intention to sell its production assets in Russia. We are talking about four Russian factories located in Esipovo (Moscow region), Tikhvin (Leningrad region), Veliky Novgorod and the urban-type settlement of Krasnaya Polyana (Kirov region).
In addition, signboards have been removed from IKEA’s Russian factories. The logos of the Swedish company are removed from the IKEA factories in Tikhvin, Novgorod and Vyatka. This was announced by the organizer of the trade union of forest industries Alexander Illarionov. He also spoke about the fact that company logos are being removed from the products of factories. IKEA plans to debrand products, all traces of logos will be removed from all finished but not sold products.
In March, the Inter Ikea group of companies announced the suspension of IKEA business processes in Russia and Belarus. Later, the company said that IKEA would sell four factories in Russia and put the retail business in the country on pause, which would lead to a reduction in the staff.
IKEA plans to close the deal on the sale of factories by the end of 2023, choosing one of the applicants.
