The leader of PMC “Wagner” suggested shooting two Russian governors

The head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, responded to criticism from the Sverdlovsk region governor, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, by saying that Stalin just shot people like him.

The conflict between Prigozhin and Kuyvashev started because the founder of the PMC claimed that the Sverdlovsk region's refusal to honor deceased Wagner fighters is a form of lawlessness.

The governor responded immediately, advising Prigozhin to not interfere in regional affairs.

The head of the Sverdlovsk region responded by saying that interference in regional administration and personnel policy is lawlessness, and that businessmen focused on school meals should not try to run the country.

Yevgeny Prigozhin also responded by referring to history and suggesting that the governor go to the front. This also involved the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, with whom Prigogine had a conflict last year.

His response to Kuyvashev involved a reference to the war of 1941-1945 and a suggestion that people like Kuyvashev and Beglov were shot by Stalin during that time. He hinted that the country is currently facing a similar situation and might return to those methods soon.

He expressed belief that people will soon be pushed to the breaking point and rise against the likes of Kuyvashev.

There have been scandals surrounding Kuyvashev, and Prigozhin suggested that any PMC “Wagner” fighter from the Sverdlovsk colony could manage the region better than him.

He emphasized that many soldiers who died at the front until February 24, 2022, held civilian jobs, and that he stopped being a businessman on that date to fully dedicate himself to leading PMC “Wagner.”

He criticized bureaucrats for remaining in comfortable offices and suggested that they were taught at Yale University to hate the Russian people. He recommended that they prove themselves at the front or keep their opinions to themselves.
