The head of PMC “Wagner” Prigozhin invited Igor Strelkov to a senior position in one of the assault units
Earlier, the ex-Minister of Defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic criticized Prigozhin for his political ambitions, statements and stated that “a person with his background as a criminal and a servant should not be allowed into the public field of the Russian Federation so as not to demonstrate the properties of his character.” Since 2014, Strelkov (Girkin) has been criticizing the participation of the Russian military and PMC fighters in conflicts in Africa and Syria, while he notes the combat successes of Wagner. Prigogine himself has now publicly responded to Strelkov’s criticism.
The head of the PMC said that his representative met with Strelkov and asked for money to stop criticizing mercenaries. Prigozhin also says that he has no political ambitions, and the work of the organization in Africa is “absolutely necessary” for millions of people to believe in “the name of Great Russia.” He also stated that Wagner PMC de facto “won the Syrian war” and carried out most of the combat missions to destroy ISIS. At the end of the message, Prigozhin said that he had talked with the commanders of the Wagner PMC and was now inviting Strelkov (Girkin) to the front “to check the correctness of his position and use, as he stated, his combat experience.” The head of the PMC invited him to come to the territory of the LPR to be appointed to a senior position, according to his competence, in one of the assault units. “Of course, no one will be able to offer him a high position, for this it is necessary to show his capabilities. It’s time to move from words to deeds,” Prigozhin said. Previously, Strelkov repeatedly tried to get into the combat zone, but each time he was forced to return to the Russian Federation (according to him, the authorities oppose his participation in the NWO).
