Rogozin assessed the danger of American bombs GLSDB
American small diameter bombs GLSDB pose a serious threat because they are difficult to detect and intercept.
This opinion was expressed by the former general director of Roskosmos and the head of the special squad of military advisers “Tsar’s Wolves” Dmitry Rogozin in his Telegram channel.
In addition, according to Rogozin, due to the large serial production of this type of bombs, their low cost is ensured. Thus, the price of one missile is only 40 thousand dollars, while one salvo of ATACMS is estimated at one million dollars, Rogozin noted. “This is a mass and at least for this reason a formidable weapon,” he pointed out.
The former head of Roskosmos called the GLSDB a “successful combination” of the GBU-39 guided bomb developed by Boeing. The missile is equipped with inertial and satellite navigation systems and a sustainer stage from the M26 unguided rocket from the M270 multiple launch rocket system and HIMARS developed by Lockheed Martin.
On February 3, it became known that the United States would send military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $2.175 billion. The package will include long-range GLSDB projectiles, high-precision missiles and HAWK anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as other ammunition and weapons.
