Prigozhin denied connection between PMC “Wagner” and the Russian army
The head of the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin denied the connection between the PMC and the Russian army. The businessman’s words are quoted by his press service.
Thus, he commented on the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron that the company became part of the Russian army. According to Prigozhin, the head of France “lives in a world of illusions” and has a poor idea of what is happening in Moscow.
“PMC Wagner is a private army that has operated, is operating and will continue to operate around the world. As much as you and your American friends would like it to be otherwise. We are defending those whom you have humiliated for many decades,” he stressed.
Earlier, a group of US senators called for the recognition of Wagner PMC as a foreign terrorist organization.
