Oleg Eidelstein “closed” for 15 days
The Tverskoy Court of Moscow ordered the arrest of the illegitimate son of the former leader of the LDPR party Vladimir Zhirinovsky
Oleg Eidelstein for 15 days. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the court.
The son of a politician was arrested in the case of petty hooliganism and disobedience to a representative of the authorities, reports “RIA Novosti” with reference to the court.
An agency source in law enforcement claimed that Eidelstein got into the police department after a skirmish in a Moscow restaurant. There, he insulted the police and hit one of them, the source said.
RBC sent a request to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow, and also asked for a comment from the senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow Yulia Ivanova.
A fight involving Eidelstein took place in the Tkemali restaurant on Lubyanka, reports telegram channel Baza And newspaper “Izvestia” with a link to the source. According to the first, it happened on February 14. The son of Zhirinovsky behaved aggressively and attacked the inspector of the patrol service, the newspaper reports. The man received a bruise in the area of the right collarbone, Baza notes.
Staff at the restaurant called the police, who then took Eidelstein to the department, according to the Telegram channel.
Previously, there have been reports in the media about fights involving Zhirinovsky's son. In April 2021, REN TV and Base published a video of Eidelstein's clash with the son of the head of North Ossetia, Zelimkhan Bitarov, at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport. The incident, according to REN TV, occurred on April 12. Three days before that, Bitarov’s father, Vyacheslav Bitarov, resigned from the post of head of the republic.
Eidelstein was then diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury and a concussion, a source familiar with the situation told the TV channel. After the fight, Eidelstein removed the beatings and filed a complaint with the police, the Baza channel claimed.
Oleg Eidelstein is the son of Zhirinovsky and Zhanna Gazdarova, the TV channel and the newspaper write. According to them, the politician met her in Cuba. Zhirinovsky introduced it to the public in 2017 shortly before the elections to the parliament of North Ossetia. Then Eidelstein headed the list of the party.
