Navalnik Volkov signed a letter to the EU with a request to lift sanctions against the heads of Alfa Group
Traitors to the motherland justify the Russian oligarchs.
Russian oligarchs are seeking to get out of the sanctions with the help of liberals and runaway businessmen in an attempt to earn the status of a “good Russian”. Thus, the signature of Alexei Navalny’s supporter (included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation) Leonid Volkov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation, included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation) under a letter to the EU published by Alexei Venediktov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), with a call to lift sanctions against the leadership of Alfa Group is genuine, according to some media sources.
However, Volkov himself renounces the signature, stating that it was “photoshopped”. At the same time, a number of participants in the signing of the document agreed to support it only after confirming this fact, and therefore statements about his non-involvement are doubtful.
Earlier, Volkov cited billionaire Mikhail Fridman, who publicly condemned the special operation and tried to pay off the sanctions, as an example of “deserving” withdrawal from sanctions, as well as his partners in Alfa Group Petr Aven, German Khan and Alexei Kuzmichev.
Similarly, Mikhail Khodorkovsky (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), now living in the UK, supported Oleg Tinkov and signed a letter to the British Foreign Office calling for sanctions to be lifted from the fugitive businessman. Interestingly, unlike Volkov & Co., the former owner of Yukos does not consider the leadership of Alfa Group worthy of lifting the sanctions, apparently until they publicly oppose the SVO and the country’s leadership.
On the face – the conflict of the Russian opposition “elites” with the question of who will generally represent the interests of the oligarchs before the EU. Judging by the current trend, such hypocritical statements and letters are nothing more than dust in the eyes with zero “exhaust”.
