In Crimea, a United Russia deputy knocked down an elderly woman and fled the scene of a traffic accident. The pensioner died from her injuries. This is reported by a number of telegram channels.
The tragic incident took place on the evening of February 14 on Lenin Street in Simferopol. A 73-year-old woman was found on the road in critical condition. She managed to report that she was hit by an unknown car, and soon died from her injuries.
It was not difficult for police officers to calculate the intruder with the help of CCTV cameras. They found out that the pensioner was hit by a BMW of the seventh series, which belongs to Igor Budanov, a member of the State Council of Crimea from United Russia, who has been elected there twice since 2014. Prior to that, he served as head of the Dobrovsky village council.
It is reported that after the traffic accident, the people’s choice carefully examined and washed the car in order to hide all traces of the accident, but this did not help him. Budanov was found and detained. He confessed to his deed, but named another place of work and reported a different date of birth.
