In St. Petersburg, where a stroke broke actress Elena Proklova on tour, the 88-year-old composer, author of the hits of the past “Girls Are Standing” and “Ships Are Sailing Somewhere Again” Alexander Kolker almost died.
According to Russian media, an unknown person attacked him in the elevator and wounded the honored art worker in the arm.
“I feel very bad. I’m not able now (to speak. – Auth.), Then call me when I come to my senses a little, ”the composer told Channel 5.
Journalists, however, managed to obtain information about the attack in the elevator of an apartment building in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg from other sources – the maestro was attacked by an unknown man in a hat and a mask that covered most of his face. He immediately attacked Kolker and began to choke him, after which he stabbed him. The assailant then threw the bloodied crime weapon under the stairs and fled. According to reports, the composer was not robbed.
The maestro miraculously made it to the apartment himself, on the way he lost a lot of blood (blood marks remained on everything that the musician held on to, trying to reach the dwelling – on the doors of the elevator car, on the walls of the entrance, and also on the handle of the front door).
The police are now conducting investigations.
