People’s Artist of Russia Gennady Yukhtin has died at the age of 89, TASS reports citing the Union of Russian Cinematographers.
Gennady Yukhtin is known to viewers for the films “Spring on Zarechnaya Street”, “The Rumyantsev Case”, “Scuba Tanks at the Bottom”, “Dead Season” and “The Lark”. He also starred in Siberiade and Elusive Avengers. In 1994, Yukhtin received the title of People’s Artist of Russia.
Earlier it was reported that Yukhtin was hospitalized for the second time in a month. At the end of January, 89-year-old Yukhtin felt unwell, and in February he sought medical help. He was diagnosed with coronavirus and hospitalized. The actor was diagnosed with viral pneumonia, PCR test for coronavirus was positive. Doctors assessed the condition of the actor as serious.
