A resident of Vladivostok will face trial for torturing her daughter, with whom she lived in a cold garage, as she rented her apartment.
According to the Investigative Committee of the ICR in Primorsky Krai, from March to May 2021, a 41-year-old woman lived with her 12-year-old daughter in a garage on Engineering Lane. The garage was uninhabitable, it was cold and damp. The woman systematically beat her daughter, kicked her out of the garage, humiliated her human dignity. “The accused deprived the child of full development, that is, deprived her of the right to a full-fledged future life,” the UK believes.
The woman is charged with clause “d” of part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Torture”) and Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Improper performance of the duties of raising a minor by a parent, if this act is connected with cruel treatment of a minor”).
