Russian director and screenwriter Viktor Buturlin, who worked on the serial detective stories Streets of Broken Lanterns and Lethal Force, has died at the age of 75. His death was reported in Lenfilm.
“Today, at the age of 75, Viktor Ivanovich Buturlin, a director, playwright, teacher, whose whole life was connected with Lenfilm, died suddenly,” the film studio said in a statement. The time of parting with the director will be announced later, the press service added.
For the series “Deadly Force”, which aired on Channel One from 2000 to 2005, Buturlin filmed the first two episodes. In “Streets of Broken Lanterns” he also worked on the first and second seasons.
Among the pictures shot by Buturlin are also the film “Gardener”, the mini-series “I have the honor” and the series “To live again”.
