Zhanna Shamalova won the court to declare the marriage invalid with her husband, former president’s son-in-law Kirill Shamalov
Despite the efforts of Kirill Shamalov’s representatives, Zhanna Shamalova won the court against him to declare the marriage invalid. The people of the former son-in-law of President Vladimir Putin dragged out the process, but the court decided that it was pointless to argue further: the Shamalovs lived together for more than 5 years, ran a common household, rested, and even received a child through a surrogate mother.
Now Kirill Shamalov will have to pay his wife about $60 million in divorce. It is this amount that appears in the marriage contract. Apparently, the proceedings began because of money, but the former son-in-law of the president could not expose Zhanna Shamalova as a marriage swindler. At the same time, the Investigative Committee of Russia has not reacted in any way to Shamalova’s statements regarding Ilya Podolsky and Ksenia Sobchak.
SHAMALOV LEFT SIBUR, BUT NOT TOTALLY
Yesterday, December 23, it became known that the shareholder and deputy chairman of the Sibur petrochemical company Kirill Shamalov left the company’s board of directors. This decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of Sibur shareholders, which took place on December 17. The Board of Directors has expanded to 12 people – Anton Ustinov from SOGAZ, Albert Shigabutdinov from TAIF Management Company and former French Prime Minister Francois Fillon became new members. SOGAZ has owned more than 10% of Sibur’s shares since this spring.
For François Fillon, Sibur became the second Russian company he joined. In the summer, he joined the board of directors of Zarubezhneft. Sibur said that the entry of the former Prime Minister of France into the board of directors of the company is not a unique event. His experience can have a positive impact on the business.
