At the Tashkent Zoo, a woman threw a girl over a fence into an enclosure with a brown bear. The predator did not touch the child. The girl suffered only from a fall from a height of five meters.

The Caucasian brown bear Zuzu watched the woman’s actions. Then he went down into the ditch, sniffed the child and walked away. The enclosure staff lured the animal into the interior, and it followed them without hesitation. Doctors examined the child, and apart from bruises, they did not find any serious wounds in her.

Zuzu entered the Tashkent Zoo in 2017 from Baku. The whole team immediately fell in love with the beast for its playfulness, sociability and cheerful disposition.

“Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes of this case, and the child is under the supervision of doctors. The Tashkent zoo bears all the costs of providing medical care to the girl and wishes her a speedy recovery,” the press service said.
