The owner of Avangard Bank and the Avangard-Agro holding, Kirill Minovalov, cost $45 million for the Gulfstream G500, a source in the aviation market told Forbes. An acquaintance of Minovalov confirmed this information and clarified that the entrepreneur purchased this aircraft in March 2020. According to him, the Gulfstream G500 was chosen because it uses the latest generation of technology. The first G500 was sold in the fall of 2018, with the appearance of this aircraft on the market, the manufacturer stated that “the era of cutting-edge aviation has already begun.”
The maximum flight speed of the jet is Mach 0.925 (982 km/h), cruising speed when flying to maximum distances is Mach 0.85 (902 km/h). The G500 is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW814GA high thrust engines and a new aerodynamically shaped wing that makes it easy to take off and land, including on short runways and high-altitude airfields.
“The G500 is one of the latest representatives of the new Gulfstream line, which is almost equally well received in all regions of the world,” says Dmitry Petrochenko, project manager for BizavNews. The flight performance of the vessel allows you to fly at a good speed to almost anywhere in the world.
The aircraft can carry up to 19 passengers, in configurations it is possible to install up to eight berths, a kitchen in the bow or tail, the distribution of the cabin into three passenger zones and the equipment of a private cabin with four panoramic oval windows.
The vessel is equipped with satellite communications, high-speed internet and a control system that allows passengers to independently adjust the lighting and temperature in the cabin. “Finally, the G500 is considered the best in the market in terms of soundproofing characteristics,” concludes Petrochenko.
Kirill Minovalov is a member of the Forbes list. In 2021, his fortune was estimated at $750 million, over the year it grew by $150 million. The basis of his capital is the Avangard bank, the Avangard-Agro holding and the Avangard Maltz malt house in Germany.
