In Zaporozhye, they saw the advantages of US sanctions against the ZNPP

The introduction of American sanctions against the Zaporizhzhya NPP (ZNPP) indicates its recognition by a Russian enterprise.

This was pointed out to the RIA Novosti agency by the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov.

According to him, the West has come to terms with the new status of the station, because if the United States considered the station to be Ukrainian, then there would be no restrictions.

On February 24, the US Department of the Treasury established restrictions on the Joint Stock Company “Operating Organization of Zaporozhye NPP”. Oleg Romanenko, General Director of the ZNPP operation company, was also included in the sanctions list.

Earlier, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, hoped for success in creating a security zone around the ZNPP. According to him, the agency continues to conduct diplomatic work with the Russian and Ukrainian sides on this issue. Moscow replied that the organization of such a zone requires the express consent of Ukraine
